Deftly deformed from a segmented chaos.
For those who dare leave subtlety behind,
 the rocky road to surreptitious
allure
awaits
The idea was to play around with objects that look like they have been buried and somehow slowly formed and deformed over time. I wanted to include facets reminiscent of gemstones and take advantage of the textural finish that is inherently present by using delft clay, making it a feature

Early attempts, lacking any form or shape

Continuing to refine the aesthetic, this one taking a more gothic feel.

This piece takes on a more rough gemstone look

Finally happy with the results here. Features facets that are, smooth and polished, rough with file marks, and textured leaving marks from the delft clay casting itself
